I am the current owner of a 4 month old male Malinois puppy from Mason's Kennels in Blue Mountain, MS.
This was my first experience in dealing with a breeder online & first time owning a Mal. In both cases I
couldn't be happier with my decision. Let me start by telling you a few things that pop in my head when I
think of Bill Mason....honest, hardworking, trustworthy, dedicated, family man...He truly is just a great
person who loves what he does and he truly loves his dogs and takes great pride & care in each and every
litter. He absolutely stands out from other breeders in my mind for his knowledge of the breed, his training
knowledge & just how easy he is to talk to. I was a bit leary about finding a dog from an online breeder but
from the first time I spoke with Bill he quickly put my mind at ease. He is dedicated to his dogs and their
breeding and their litters. He kept me informed of the puppies progress every step with e-mails, phone calls
and pictures...and to do this for every of the prospective puppy owners is a lot of work to say the least! My
puppy was from a litter of 10 gorgeous healthy pups. I cannot go anywhere with him from the time I got him
at 8 weeks old till now without people doing double takes and stopping me to ask what kind of "gorgeous
creature" is that? He excels in everything he has done so far for such a young guy! He is a solid, strong,
healthy puppy that has drive out of this world and continues to shock and amaze people with how attentive,
focused and what a quick study he is. I already know that whatever I choose to do with this puppy in the
future whether it be protection, tracking, sport...he will be at the top of his class. I would absolutely
recommend Bill & his kennels to anyone I know that is interested in owning a Malinois, learning more
about the breed or for training. He will always be upfront and honest and answer any questions you may have.
You will be in the best of hands with Mason's Kennels.

HI Bill... I am sending you some current pics of Tabbitha. Kathy told me she is planning on getting
another pup from you I am REALLY encouraging her. This pup has turned out great not only is she doing
well in the AKC show ring but she is also proving her worth as a SAR dog . I have been training her since
about 4 months old and she is proving excellent at it .I have already had the oppotunity to take her out on
an actual search call involving a 15 yr old runaway and she proved successful on tracking the kid to where
he hitch a ride along a dirt road. Wow at 6 months I am so impressed.
Thank you ! Shirley

I went to Blue Mountain, Ms to look at some working Malinios. I wasn't going down there to buy
anything, just to look around. I was very impressed with the professional trainers I met and mostly
the dogs they were working. Luckily for me they had one pup left.I spent about 3 hours visiting
and working dogs and they helped me work my amstaff. I bought a female pup from them. I
expected a little bit of shyness from her when I brought her to our home, but I just haven't seen it
yet. Last night she slept in a crate at the foot of our bed, no crying nothing just a very confident
relaxed puppy with drive out of this world

Hi Bill,
John from NH here, I got one of the female puppies from Mason and Mason's Kate litter. I just wanted to
give you an update an thank you for such a great puppy, I just could not be more pleased. I named her Mia
and she just completed puppy obedience with honors. She is extremely alert and aware with a strong desire
to please. She is praised by the vet as being very healthy, nearly 40 lbs at almost 4 months (38 right now)
and every where we go she gets compliments on her temperament and behavior for such a young puppy. She
is well socialized with people children and dogs without any problems. I attached a few pictures of her
playing in the snow, she absolutely loves it and just doesn't quit, great drive. Thanks again, John
Hannah got off the plane on Jan. 27th and effectively "owned" me by the 28th. This puppy knew what a
heel was at eight weeks; there was no need to teach her--it is ingrained in her. I have never had a more loyal
dog--and we have had a few over the course of our lifetimes.
This is no ordinary dog we have here. She is extremely focused, and without having gone to "kindergarten"
yet, knows pretty much all the basic training commands, right on down to a two-minute "down-stay". We
put a pile of her toys in front of her and make a game out of "go get" the right one, by name. Hannah can
consistently pick out by name-- correctly--at least ten toys, come and drop.
She was housetrained in three days, at eight weeks. Lead and crate- trained within the same week,. At 13
weeks, she is now attempting to open doorknobs on her own, brings me her leash--and is meeting the mail
carrier at the box and bringing in the mail with a soft mouth.
We also don't get many possums down here near Fort Lauderdale, but one one of our late night
before-bedtime potty runs, she spotted one.
About six hours later, when she went out for her first morning run--she zoned in on the same track that
possum had been on. She has a hell of a nose.
Hannah has the nose for scent work, the drive and persistence for work in general, the heart to be a
therapy dog., the physical acumen for agility. She has the intelligence to wow me by what she obviously
has potential for every single moment we've had with her.
She's going to school at four months, so we don't know where she'll best excel yet--and what she'll love the
most---but we know one thing. She'll kick everyone else's butt at go to the head of the class.
We love her to death, and could not ask for a better dog--in absolutely every way.
Thanks so much!

HI BILL AND FAMILY JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SEND SOME PIC'S OF THE MALINOIS GALS. IN
THE SEARCH AND RESCUE WORLD I LIVE IN I COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER BREED OR A
BETTER BREEDER. I HAVE TRAINED IN SAR WORK FOR MORE THAN 7 YEARS, AFTER TRAINING
MY FIRST SAR DOG I FELT LIKE I WAS MISSING SOMETHING. COULD NOT PUT MY FINGER ON IT,
I WAS SO FOCUSED ON MY WORK THAT I CRAVED FOR A STRONGER WORKING PARTNER,
THAT'S WHEN I STARTED LOOKING AT DIFFERENT BREEDS. I LOOKED AT GSD, LAB'S, GOLDENS
AND A FEW OTHER BREEDS THAT ARE COMMON IN SAR WORK. BUT THE BELGIAN BREED
CAUGHT MY EYE. SO I RESEARCHED THIS BREED, MUCH TO MY SURPRISE THIS BREED HAD
EVERYTHING I WAS LOOKING FOR. I FOUND MASON'S KENNEL ON THE WEB SITE AND DECIDED
TO CHECK HIM OUT. I HAVE TO SAY HIM AND HIS FAMILY ARE GREAT PEOPLE. THEY HAVE
NOTHING TO HIDE, THEY ARE DOWN TO EARTH AND BILL'S GOAL IS TO BREED THE BEST OF
THE BEST. I DID PURCHASE A FEMALE PUP FROM HIM. SHE WENT ON TO BE AN AKC
CONFIRMATION CHAMPION WITHIN 18 MONTHS, SHE ALSO IS A SAR K-9 PARTNER. NEEDLESS TO
SAY SHE LIVES WITH HER HANDLER THAT LOVES HER. SO I PURCHASED ANOTHER FEMALE PUP
FROM THE SAME PARENTS I NAMED HER TUNDRA. MASON'S TUNDRA IS A VERY STRONG GAL,
HER WORK ETHIC IS NON-STOP. I STARTED HER IN TRACKING/MAN TRAILING. WITHIN 12
MONTHS SHE PASSED HER CERTIFICATION WITH NNDDA. THEN WENT ON 6 MONTHS LATER
PASSED HER CERT. WITH NOCDS. SHE WAS THE ONLY K-9 TO PASS AT THIS SAR SEMINAR IN
MANTRAILING. SHE IS JUST A NATURAL. SHE CAN ACE A 14 HOUR OLD TRAIL WITHOUT A
PROBLEM. I COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER K-9 PARTNER. HAD HER HIPS OFA, SHE RATED
GOOD. MASON'S ROSA, WELL SHE WENT OFF TO THE AKC CONFIRMATION SHOW FOR ABOUT 9
MONTHS. SHE DID NOT DO AS WELL AS WE THOUGHT SHE WOULD SO I GOT HER BACK AT
ABOUT 18 MONTHS OF AGE. AFTER TRYING TO DECIDE WHAT JOB SHE NEEDED I STARTED
WITH HELP OF A GOOD FRIEND TO DO HRD (HUMAN REMAINS DETECTION) OR CADAVER.
AFTER 6 MONTHS OF TRAINING THIS GIRL SHE SOLVED HER FIRST CASE AND WITHIN A WEEK
LATER HELPED IN SOLVING ANOTHER CASE. SHE FINDS HER SOURCE "DOWNS" THEN WILL
TOUCH WITH FRONT PAW, ALL THIS FOR JUST A TENNIS BALL. SHE ALSO IS A VERY STRONG
WORKING GIRL. SHE HAS GREAT BALL AND HUNT DRIVE. I DID HAVE HER HIPS/ELBOWS OFA
THEY CAME BACK AS GOOD/NORMAL. MASON'S LAKOTA, WELL CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT
THIS LITTLE GIRL. SHE IS NOW 15 MONTHS OLD. I STARTED HER ON HRD OR CADAVER AT 8
WEEKS OLD. SHE HAS HAD IT MASTERED FROM DAY ONE. SHE HAS GREAT BALL AND HUNT
DRIVE. SHE IS ONLY ABOUT 40 LBS WHICH IS GREAT FOR HER TYPE OF WORK, SHE CAN FIT IN
SMALL PLACES. LOVES WATER SO THAT MADE IT EASY FOR US TO WORK NOT ONLY LAND
CADAVER BUT WATER CADAVER AS WELL. SHE HAS A NATURAL INDICATION WHEN SHE FINDS
HER SOURCE, SHE WILL FREEZE THEN DOWN AND GIVE THE STARE AS YOU CAN SEE IN HER
PIC'S. SHE IS SO DEVOTED TO HER WORK. SHE IS THE K-9 PARTNER I WOULD WATCH THAT
OTHER HANLDERS HAD AND WOULD DREAM ABOUT HAVING ONE DAY. THIS LITTLE GIRL HAS
ALSO SOLVED HER FIRST CASE IN FEB 2007 AND A WEEK LATER HELPED IN SOLVING ANOTHER
CASE. I HAVE TO MENTION THE 2 CASES THAT BOTH MY HRD MALINOIS GALS WORKED. FIRST
COLD CASE WAS A PERSON BEEN MISSING FOR 3 YEARS. NOBODY HAD A CLUE TO WHAT
HAPPENED TO THIS PERSON. WELL CASE HAD BEEN REOPENED I GOT CALLED IN WITH K-9
PARTNERS TO SEARCH AN AREA SHORE LINE AT A LAKE. LAKOTA WORKED IT FIRST AND
COVERED MOST OF THE 5 ACRE AREA, WITHIN 5 MIN GAVE ME HER INDICATION ABOUT 12
INCH FROM SHORE LINE. WE FINISHED THE LAND AREA AND K-9 THEN WENT BACK TO THE
SAME AREA GAVE ANOTHER INDICATION ABOUT 8 INCH DEEP IN THE WATER. I THEN TOOK
OUT ROSA,IT WAS ALMOST THE SAME PATTERN. I EVEN LEFT THE AREA CAME IN FROM
ANOTHER ANGLE, ROSA STILL IN THE SAME AREA IN THE WATER GAVE HER INDICATION. SHE
EVEN SLAP THE WATER WITH HER PAW. AFTER 2 DAYS OF THE GROUND SEARCH TEAM
COVERING THE AREA THEY SENT DIVERS IN THE LAKE. THEY DID LOCATE THE MISSING PERSON
STILL STRAP IN HIS SEATBELT IN THE VEHICLE IN THE LAKE. SECOND CASE WAS PERSON
MISSING FOR 20 YEARS, THIS CASE IS STILL UNDER CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SO I CAN NOT
MENTION DETAILS BUT BOTH MAL GALS GAVE ME A POSITIVE INDICATION ON THE LOCATION
OF THE REMAINS. JOB WELL DONE. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH MONEY THAT COULD BUY THESE
MALINOIS GALS, BUT I WILL SAY THAT IF I EVER LOSE ONE I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO CALL
BILL AND LET HIM PICK OUT ANOTHER WORKING MALINOIS GAL FOR ME.

"I have been in K9 SAR for 7 years and my original dog was getting ready to retire. I researched many
breeds to decide on my next dog. I met a bomb dog for the THP who was a mal and was very impressed
and decided to go with that breed. I called and spoke to Bill and he was excellent, answering all of my
questions and listening to what type of dog I was looking for based on the SAR requirements. He emailed
me photos of two puppes and I chose Maggie. >From the very start she has been beyond exceptional.
Everything I have asked her to do she has learned with speed and precision. I am using her to do air scent
disaster SAR work. We recently returned from the FEMA K9 Search Specialist course at the TEEX
Disaster City. Maggie was 10 months old and performed excellent. During an exercise towards the end of
the week she located two victims in a 5,000 square foot rubble pile with a robust bark alert in under 10
minutes. Her prey drive and search capabilities have proven outstanding to date. Her first SAR mission
occurred in late March 2007 where she alerted in and out of the water at a lake and the victim was located,
still alive, less than 50 yards away hiding underneath a tree in the water. At home she is extremely
sociable, working well with all size and breeds of dogs and is great with children. If left alone she will climb
to the top of the highest obstacle outside or in the house. On the agility course I let her out of the truck
and she climbs on everything on her own, seeking out the higher and more mobile elements. I give Bill
Mason the highest recommendations because the dog that he selects for you if you cannot be there in
person will be tailor fit to your needs. A co-worker also purchased a puppy from Bill that is now 4 months
old and is well on his way to preparing for SAR work. These are outstanding working dogs.
Thank you! God bless, Melissa

Mason’s Sage & Mason’s Eve
Owner: Morgan Pierce
When I made the decision to get back into dog training I knew that I wanted
a jump start into it. So after much research and deliberation I decided to
attend the Tom Rose School. With the high demands of this school I knew I
would need a great dog to get me through it. After talking to many breeders
I purchased my first Malinois from Bill Mason in December of 2006.
In four months, at the ripe age of 7 months, Mason’s Sage successfully
completed training and testing for AKC Agility, Novice and Open. She also
tested for the BH, Schutzhund I (OB), Schutzhund II (OB), narcotics, and
protection (French Ring). With the demands of school and the age
restrictions on the various competitions she is being trained for, she hasn’t
competed yet but she is completely prepared to compete and win in AKC and
Schutzhund, and soon French Ring.
But wait, there’s more! I purchased a second puppy from Bill Mason to
fulfill my remaining requirements at the school, and also because I
completely and totally fell in love with Bill Mason’s Malinois! I had a
short amount of time to prepare Mason’s Eve, but she rose to the occasion
and completed an AKC Novice routine, as well as a Schutzhund I track, and
various other obedience requirements.
I could not be happier about my dogs’ performance! If you are in the market
for incredibly high drive, intense, intelligent dogs that are mentally and
physically capable of handling anything you can throw at them, look no
further than Mason’s Kennels. You won’t be disappointed!

Mason's Weiland
Owner: Chris Burke and Jane Copland
We are the owners of Weiland, an eleven month old Malinois from Mason's Kennels, and we
couldn't be more delighted with our "little puppy"! He is our first dog, and obviously our first
Malinois, and he's caused us to fall in love with the breed. Loving, loyal, intelligent, energetic
and with a fantastic personality, Weiland has been very special to us from the moment we laid
eyes on him. Our experience with Mason's Kennels has been wonderful; we received
numerous photos of the pups and we felt that care was taken in choosing which puppy would
be ours. Bill Mason put a lot of effort into getting Weiland from Mississippi to Seattle, making
sure Weiland was ready to fly a long distance, and driving through the night from his home to
Memphis airport to put Weiland on an early flight up to Seattle.

Weiland is a great dog. He runs with me every morning and appears to absolutely love it.
Often, people will stop me in the street and tell me how good looking he is; most people tend
to use the word "handsome"! We're constantly amazed and delighted by his vigilance, his love
for us and his interest in his surroundings. On his first day at our house, aged 7 weeks, he
barked at our stereo speakers when we turned on the television! However, after a quick
investigation of the room, he decided that the noise coming from the speakers was no problem
and went back to playing with his new toys. Needless to say, we were incredibly impressed. He
is currently sleeping next to me on the sofa after a long day of running, playing with numerous
toys, behaving well for cookies, and riding in the car (which is, apparently, incredibly exciting!).

Soon, we'll be ready to get another dog and we'll definitely want another Mal from Mason's
Kennels. We're so pleased we came across Bill Mason and his dogs, as our experience has
been 100% wonderful.
